- Having clear and stated expectations that the students can know and recognize.
- These are also being established and implemented into the classroom.
- As a teacher being able to walk around and make sure the students are behaved and focused.
- You can walk close to a student that is being disrupted and even give his desk a little tap so he knows to pay attention.
- How a teacher responds to a students misbehavior is very important.
- Try and figure out why the student is acting in such a way, it might be a bigger underlying issue.
- Don't discipline the student in front of everyone but do it in private.
- Have clear standards and try to really reinforce the good behavior.
