Jamboard is almost like another interactive slideshow. This allows students to add their own thoughts and join in with the class. There's also a lot of things you can add including the background, images, sticky notes, shapes, and you can even use a laser for when you are presenting the slideshow. Jamboard is super easy to use and even lets the students work at their own pace.
This can fit in Danielson Framework 3D which is Using Assessment in Instruction. You can have slides but also have them add sticky notes or answer questions helping you as the teacher to assess how well the students are doing with the material and lesson. There is not necessarily a "test" but this can be questions or activities that helps give you the scoop of how they are doing.
The ISTE Standard that it goes with is 1.7 Global Collaborator. This is because you can have the students work with each other as a whole or in pairs/groups to look at the slides and answer possible questions. Jamboard also allows the students to see what others post and write. With this website they are using the tools to broaden their perspective helping them to enrich their knowledge.
I like Jamboard and how it works. In my possible elementary class I think I would use it more for the class as a whole instead of individually. I just think it could be a little harder for them to type and almost too much freedom to add whatever they want, but it's also super useful in the start of discussions.
