Information about the Instructional Program
- Information is constantly being sent home in a newsletter to keep the families updated with what their student(s) are learning.
- Make an initial phone call with the parent letting them know who you are and something positive about their kid. - If needed to communicate with the family then you can make a phone call with the already established relationship.
- Have the students fill out bubbles with colors representing their behaviors so the parents can see.
- Make sure the communication is a two-way road.
- Keep them updated with how their child is doing socially, emotionally, behaviorally, and educationally.

- Invite families and parents in for holiday parties and small events
- Make a blog that the parents can see and try to stay involved.
- Send homework that has to be done with help so that someone in the family can be involved in the instructional program.
